Beer Bread is an easy quick loaf recipe with delicious flavor, and a great way to sneak more beer into your diet!
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 12 ounces beer at room temperature (I prefer to use Yuengling Traditional Lager)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a 9”x5” loaf pan, or 3 mini-loaf pans, with flour-based cooking spray, then line with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the beer over the mix, and use a spatula to gently fold into the dry ingredients. Do not over-mix.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan(s).
  5. Melt the butter in the microwave and pour over top of the batter.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove to a wire rack to cool in pan for 15-20 minutes, then remove from pan and allow to cool completely before serving.
